I have an issue with 10.8 and Apple Remote Desktop 3.6

I have an issue with 10.8 and Apple Remote Desktop 3.6. When connecting to a remote machine with ARD, if the Mac is logged in but locked (the normal scenario) the user screen works fine. The password screen has a glitch. After a few characters the selection highlights and if you type the next character it erases everything. The only workaround is to keep one finger on the right arrow key. Since this happens up to 4 times per password it is affecting productivity. I've seen this on the boards the last few months but don't see a resolution. Any ideas?
