trying to set up verizon email on new 5c phone and it says user name or password incorrect in pop

i have just purchased a 5c phone and had a 4 prior. i would like to continue to get my emails on my phone but it does not let me as the 'pop" does not like my either my email address or my password which i have changed. how can i clear this up so i can continue to receive my emails on my phone?

That means that the user name or password you are entering is wrong as far as Verizon is concerned. Apple is just passing along that message from the ISP. No one can help you resolve this; you will have to figure out what you are entering that is incorrect. Verizon has a help page on their web site with details for configuring an iPhone. That's a good place to start.
