Gray then Blue Screen on Startup

Just today, when starting my Macbook Pro (Mountain Lion) it will start like normal until the Apple Logo with the Loading Wheel thing. After that goes away instead of a sign in screen the whole screen just turns gray, then after about a few minutes if I leave it on it will turn into a full blue screen with pixelated lines. Anyone know what the issue is or some troubleshooting steps to go through? I tried

- starting in safe mode but it didn't change that startup process.

- resetting the NVRAM/PRAM and it restarts but still no change

- starting in single user mode still no change.

I am really worried since I have not been able to back up my computer for awhile and I have a lot of important work documents on here.

MacBook Pro, iOS 7, Its iOS7 I am not sure which though
