Setting a picture on the lock screen

I just noticed that when I am trying to set an image in my photo gallery to the lock screen, it will not resize the image. I tried three different pictures but to no avail. The picture is seeming enlarged on the screen and only party of the image can be seen. If you pinch zoom, it will display the full imagine, but when you let go, it enlarges automatically. I also tried to crop it. Better go plug my phone in 3% again
