iphone 5 freezes on lock screen

Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone restarts itself. Then when up and running, press home button twice quickly, then swipe up and away all the windows of running apps.

I too have same issue with ios 7 in iphone 5..phone freezes in lock screen..touch wont respond..resarting the phone is the only way...dnt know whether apple would know this bug..

My iphone 5c also stopped working on lock screen .. The touch didnt respond ... The only way out was by pressing and holding the unlock key for few second and then restarting it

Anyone found a solution to this problem. Have apple come up with a fix

Yeah did the upgrade today, iphone has a huge lag and keyboard doesn't work anymore, try restarting, that didnt work. Can't restore because need to type in my icloud but cant because of the keyboard not working. last option is too turn up the brightness and let it die see if that helps

Mine is doing this 2-3x a day. Sometimes it works when I reset it but most of the time I'm having to reset it multiple times. It started this with the latest update. Once my whole screen turned red.. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I was ready for a new one!

No, no solution and today it wouldn't reset. Finally after about 45 minutes it restarted itself. I'm wondering if it's a heat/sun issue. ?

My iPhone 5s is doing this since I bought it and lost my time to wake up. Mine always freezes during the night, with or without charger. In iOS 7.1 the problem became few times and 7.1.1 a bit less times but it still happens and annoys me a lot. What is the difficult level to make a cellphone that works like an old Nokia through the night??? I had to buy an alarm clock just in case my iPhone decide to freeze! That is disgusting.

I don't think it's a heat issue as I have been using the same phone for a year n a half and never faced the issue before also I can check my notifications and access to control center, I jus can't unlock the phone, funny right? I feel it is a software issue

Btw apple is replacing issues with the wake up and sleep button, go to apple support and enter in ur serial no and it will tell you if your phone ha that issue

hi, my iphone 5 is suddenly hang....i dont know what to do.. it hang, cannot slide the screen. the home and power button also didnt work... it just getting blank after few minute it keep appear apple logo and then it get blank again, again, and again... i dont know what to do... pliz help me.....

Hi,I face the same issue,what i do is try to restore your iphone using iTunes but you need to do a backup first.After that you have to restore your iphone as a new iphone.
