Wireless Headphones Disable Apple TV

I have an Apple TV model MD199LL/A connected to my Panasonic HDTV. I just purchased a pair of Sennheiser RS-1780 wireless headphones to use with the HDTV. According to the information that came with the headphones, the radio link between the base unit and the headphones uses a radio frequency of 2.4 - 2.48 GHz. Whenever I turn on the headphones, the Apple TV drops its Wi-Fi connection to my home network. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.8 GHz

Try changing the channel your headphones work over or the channel your wifi works over. Keep them at least 5 channels apart.

It is not possible to control the channel used by the headphones. And I don't see anything in the router wireless settings to change the channel it is using. These are the router wireless settings that are available:

It will be there somewhere, it may appear if you disable auto channel scan, take a look in your manual.
