I upgraded to the latest iTunes software yesterday and now my iPod classic has locked and wont restore

Upgraded iTunes software yesterday and now my iPod classic has locked and needs to be restored but will not do so.


1. How do I sort it out?


2. Why are there always problems after upgrading software, it is getting tiresome

iPod classic, iOS 7.0.2

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPod classic. You may want to attempt to restore it in disk mode, as outlined in this resource:
