Installing a shared Epson Stylus Photo 870

All,

I just purchased a macbook yesterday, and the one problem that I'm having is connecting to and installing the drivers for an Epson Stylus Photo 870 that is shared from a Windows XP PC. This is my first mac, so please bear with me if this is simple.

I've managed to enable my macbook to talk to the windows xp pc that the printer is shared on, and I can even see the printer. However, when I try to add it, it defaults the printer model to Generic. If I try to change the model, I see a few other Epson models, but not the 870. I even went to the epson sight and downloaded the driver and installed it. The installation seemed to go OK, but I still don't see the 870 as a possbile printer to choose from.

Any help that anyone can give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom Wojeck
