How To Stop Game Center Banner From Popping Up In Games?

It sounds like you may want to turn off the notifications for the Game Center in the notifications options:

Set notification options. Go to Settings > Notification Center. Tap an app to set its notification options. You can also tap Edit to arrange the order of app notifications. Touch , then drag it to a new position.

I am having the same problem. Notifications have all been turned completely off in settings for BOTH game center and "Deer Hunter 2014" game. Banners even set to "none".

I even tried deleting the game from my Game Center games, but it then asks me if I want to uninstall the game from the device, which I do not because I would lose a lot of progress.

BUT THE NOTIFICATIONS KEEP POPPING UP.

This is particularly irritating and obnoxious because it actually covers up critical controls in the game at the top of the screen. As though knowing that "you have achieved *I see you* by killing 100 animals with infrared" is more important to me than actually playing the game. IT'S NOT. I DON'T CARE ABOUT GAME CENTER. IT'S A BAD IPHONE FEATURE. And Apple is way too proud of it and it's cute little colorful bubbles.

Please send help and fix the things you've done.

Haha, some funny responses to this, but I 100% agree. I would like the option to remove Game Center from my life entirely. It's worse than google+

Yeah it's utter absurdity, these notifications. It makes me want to stop playing the game altogether. And, its so stupid and pointless. Why do I have to know every single time I make a kill with a lung shot that I am in the freaking "Breathless - 10 lung shots" club? Who cares!?! If I wanted to be annoyed like that, I would just tape my eyelids open and watch reruns of "Dharma and Greg". Lock it up, Game Center!

This would have to be the MOST annoying thing i have experienced since getting my first iphone 4 years ago. It is a great game and possibly the most frustrating aspect of any game available in the app store. It is quickly opening my eyes to many problems with the ios update that i have been so willing to be blinded by up until this point.

I have a solution! Go to settings>game centre and then just delete your password. It will sign you out and you don't have to sign in to play deer hunter, just click cancel when prompted. It will reel off your achievements again, but after that it's plain sailing!

With iOS6 it seems that game center participation became mandatory, you can't turn it off. And with iOS7 you can't remove games from game center. (although I noticed with 6, even if I removed the game it still signed me back in without my consent. Everytime the game restarted it signed me back in.)

I've stopped playing Angry Birds because it repeatedly signed me back in no matter how many times I signed myself out. I also noticed getting multiple 'you hit this achievement' banners for the same achievement over and over and over.

I've stopped playing the games that have game center and on the rare occasion that I look for one, if they're GC enabled I give them a pass.

Well, my discontent continues, because I don't want to have to turn Game Center off. I play other games that involve Game Center, and they do not throw up annoying banners and advertisements every time you play it. Besides, we shouldn't have to go to these lengths to make it stop. We are the paying customers, the reason games like this are successful.

At the very least, can someone make it to where the banners don't consume a whole quarter of the top of your screen on the iphone? It's not this way on the ipad (hardly noticeable). I really am disappointed that these banners passed design approval. "Ok, great job, team. This is going to be a really great game. Only, there's something missing. We need...something else...something terrific. I know! Let's install a function that blinds the user with a bright flash of light at the beginning of a hunt..."

You know what's super cool about this "feature"...if you are playing the game, then go check a text for ONE second and go back to your game...it runs through the entire list of vision blocking, game play inhibiting banners AGAIN! Life is good... : l

I have DH2014 completely turned off in my Notification Center but i'm still getting the same problem as the OP.

I have this issue also. All of my notifications are set to off and getting the notifications is ruining my game. It's just endless repeated notifications.

I may have a solution! Go to settings->notification center->Game Center. Turn everything off. Play the game and see if it works.
