Text/Fonts size throughout IOS7 for 3rd party applications

I guess my main grip with the IPhone, although a great device, it has to do with the font size. Although possible to increase/decrease the font size for the stock applications (mail, tesxt messages, calendar) it is impossible to do so with the 3rd party applications(Facebook,Google +,Linkedin,Whatsapp,Foursquare, etc) Many of us, including myself, value a smaller screen such as the Iphone's.We dislike huge, bulky devices such as Galaxy S4, HTC One, etc but a small screen doesn't have to mean small fonts. The fonts in the IPhone are very small and sometimes impossible to read. The Iphone is a device used not only by teenagers with perfect vision, but also a device used for bussiness/enterprise. There are a lot of people out there, over 30, who's vision is not as it used to be. How hard would it be to allow text resize in 3rd party applicaitons. It is very possible in Android. Once you change the size of the text, it doesn't apply only to the Os applicaitons that came with the phone, but goes for the third party applications as well.

This is one of the reassons that stears me back toward the Android.

What do you guys think? Would be that hard for this to happen? Am I the only one thinking this way?

If you go to Settings > General > Text Size you will see this message:

"Apps that support Dynamic Type will adjust to your preferred reading size below"

theScore supports Dynamic Type and it works with that app. I'm sure there are more.

Well, I understand your frustration, but conducting polls is not allowed here under the TOS. The text in many applications I use have changed across various iOS releases. As a matter of fact, in Facebook app, I notice the keyboard has larger, bolder letters than that of the regular iPhone keyboard. Apple does not have that much control over how an app is developed/programmed as to not allow font changes. That is all on the developer. I tend to disagree with your contention that all apps are using the same exact font. If you want to get your thougths to Apple and describe this issue to them and not the app developers, then you need to go to the feedback page at www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link. Again, developers you would go to their support pages.

Chris,

I am addressing to fellow IPhone users to get people's feedback. Although I do understand what you say, I am sure it is on of the two:

-Apple does not allow this kind of tweak when programing an application ( I am sure 3rd party application developers already considered that)

-furthermore, to sustain my belief that it is not something up to the developers, I would believe that a single one, so far, have already thought of doing it. Nobody did. All 3rd party applictions are using the same style, size font. Don't tell me it doesn't have to do anything with Apple and IOS....

-if it does depend on those who program the applications, which I highly doubt it, Apple could put pressure on them to program the application such as a font change to be allowed once we increase/decrease the font size
