Oct 15, 2013 6:24 PM in response to Lilacfairy22by randers4,You can't delete them because they are actually stored on your iPod. The cloud download symbols only indicate that these are previously purchased songs that are available to redownload from the iTunes store.
But you don't have to see these on your iPod. To hide them go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and turn off Music under Show All.

Oct 15, 2013 6:55 PM in response to Lilacfairy22by randers4,Try deleting them again by swiping across the song title and tapping Delete. If it won't delete, you'll probably have to delete all your music and sync it back from iTunes. To delete all your music go to Settings>General>Usage, wait for the app list to open then click Music (if not visible click Show All Apps), then tap Edit and tap next to All Music.
