WE are trying to get the iPod Apple ID and password to mach the ipad but cant get it to change. we have changed the email address and general settings but can not get the Ipod to accept the email change.

We have been trying to match our ipod with all the new Ipad Apple ID information. When we go to update it asks for our Apple ID and password. we do not remember the password we put in for the Ipod. And we can not get it to accept the changes for the new email address we created. The iPad made all the changes and save the Apple ID password, so it does not give us any problems. That will come when we will need to use the pass word some day and we do not remember it. I forgot the security question answers also, and when I used our dates of birth it do not recall either one. we tried both because we can remember which one we used. We are in a mess. Sorry. Can you help us to get all the devices on the same ID, passwords and we will write it all down hide it some where that we will promptly forget.
