Q: Macbook Pro Retina 13" late-2012 Battery is not charging

My Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display will not charge. It says "Battery is not charging" but the 'Power Source' says Power Adapter. My Macbook is currently on 1% and is working fine because it is plugged into an outlet. I don't know if this is an issue as I heard the v1.2 SMC update was supposed to fix problems like these but apparently not. I can verify it is not the Magsafe 2 power adapter because at first I thought that was the problem so I ordered a brand-new one and the problem continued. There is also no led light on the Magsafe 2 charger.
