Delete Attachments from Apple Mail

My mail section uses up almost 2 GB of my iCloud storage place, which is quite a lot… I have a lot of big attachments in my mailbox, and I don't need them now. Is it any possible to remove the downloaded attachments (but keep them somewhere so they could be downloaded at a later time)? Or archive old emails and then delete them, what do you guys suggest?
