Quicktime player should open flash videos automatically. Update your flash player and see if that fixes the problem.

I have lion os 10.8.5, the latest version, but it did not open flv 😟 what should i do?
amirfx_fx: Install Perian. It works in 10.8.5.

Hmmm? I'm currently in SL and have QT 7 Player installed and it shows this from the installed Internet Plug-ins, which I assumed applied also to QT Player X.
I guess you need to convert FLV videos to QuickTime MOV for playback. This is the best way to play flv videos with QT7. Good luck!
