can Boot Camp be used on a MAC with programs already on it

Hi I have MAC OS Lion and Paralells. This is slow crashes etc and I am wondering if it is possible to switch to Boot Camp without damaging my MAC DaTA is there a way to install BootCamp in unused space and then just move the windows programs over?
