When repairing disc permissions, I see the message below - sounds ominous. I've been having issues with this laptop and am not sure what this means or how to fix it. Or, if it could be causing the slow running I'm experiencing? Message reads:
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
Is this something to worry about?
MacBook Pro (17-inch Early 2008), Running 10.7.5

This was a known problem a few years ago, that had to do with Disk Utility not recognizing certain components of Apple Remote Desktop (the ARDAgent.app in the error message).
If you don't use Apple Remote Desktop, there is nothing to worry about even though you get this error message when you attempt to repair permissions. It is highly unlikely to have anything to do with your system apparently running slow.
If you ARE using Apple Remote Desktop then I'd suggest uninstalling & reinstalling the app.
