Oct 16, 2013 4:32 PM in response to Tufffgutby randers4,Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

Oct 16, 2013 4:41 PM in response to Tufffgutby Tufffgut,I have the correct email:
this is what happened- I started with an apple id around 99-2000
then the id disappeared. in most of my devices, the old id that disappeared was registered. I sent email after email to support- nothing
so- we started with a new id. for some reason everything directs to the old hotmail account and i cannot verify the new id. it is driving me bananas as i get new stuff and cannot use the cloud. it seems like the email addresses are crossed, but the old id is lost and the new id directs everything to the old email...
any thoughts?

Oct 16, 2013 4:45 PM in response to Tufffgutby randers4,Is your hotmail address the primary email address associated with your new Apple ID? (You can check at htttps://appleid.apple.com.)

Oct 16, 2013 10:34 PM in response to Tufffgutby Tufffgut,Hotmail address is not the email associated. But, for some reason- it always sends emails there as it is confused through ip address (? I am guessing) to the hotmail account. It is nuts and the apple staff has had no answers. It all stems back to the apple id I had for 10 yrs that suddenly dissappeared.

Oct 17, 2013 12:48 PM in response to Tufffgutby randers4,I woudn't be related to your IP address. The verification email should be sent to your primary email address. If this isn't happening and Apple support couldn't figure it out, you might try once more by contacting iTunes store support: https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html. They frequently deal with Apple ID issues and may be able to help.
If not, just create a new email account (such as Gmail or Yahoo) and use that to create a new Apple ID to use for iCloud. You don't need to use the account for email; just keep it active for use with Apple/iCloud.
