If these are old songs purchased from iTunes for the iPod, are you using the same Apple ID on the phone as you did with the old music. This music is probably DRM protected and if not the same ID, you don't have the authority to use/listen to them.
Same Apple ID just some old songs from a lot of CDs that I had bought for years. Found my old iPod and got a new computer and transferred the songs on to it. Everytime I try to sync my phone to get the songs nothing happens
Check in iTunes and see if the songs are in the library. Also, check to see what you have selected to sync as far as music is concerned in iTunes.
Yea there in the library and playing. Everytime I try to sync my phone it says waiting for changes to be applied, stays there for a few seconds then nothing
Are the songs checked, or do you have the setting to sync all music? Can you try to put a few of the songs into a playlist in iTunes and they try to sync that playlist?
Yea it didn't work. I even tried to remove playlists and they were still on my phone
My last try on that would be to remove all of the music on the phone via a sync. Then resync the music back, see if it comes over.
That didn't work for me either
What computer OS are you using? Do you have the latest version of iTunes (v11.1)? There has got to be a reason for the disconnect in the music syncing. I would recommend resetting the sync history. If you are in Windows, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices, and there is a button there. Now, with the phone connected to iTunes and the phone selected in the Device pane, you go to the Summary page and down towards the bottom of the page, there is a Reset Warnings box. After doing that, try to sync music again. If there is a problem, with the warnings reset, it should show up if there is one.
