I can't update my ios on my iPad. Please help. Thank you.

If you have an iPad 1G, then you cannot update it to iOS 7. You will need to update it to iOS 5.1.1.

If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to upgrade.

If you have an Original iPad, it can only be updated to IOS 5.1.1

Why will apple not have an update for IPad 1? so we have to buy anothor one. maybe I should purchase an androd tablet.

Before you rush out to buy an a tablet with an Android operating system, check the upgradability and compatibility with the newer versions of the operating system.

No one here knows what Apple will do in the future but it is common knowledge that the original iPad does not have the ram and processor speed to run more recent version of the iOS.

If you feel some other table might better suit your needs have at it.
