I recently did a reset of my Iphone 4 which did not have a sim card then after the restore was complete i got an error message that says that i require a sim card. Why is this happening and how can i fix it? Also it is running ios 7.0.2

The only way you never had a SIM would be if you had a CDMA iPhone 4 which in the US would be with Sprint or Verizon.
You see thats the problem, I live in canada. Any suggestions though?
I did not have a SIM either. I was using it as an IPOD and it was working fine until I upgraded.
Now it says SIM required. My phone is also factory unlocked.
