Oct 16, 2013 9:40 PM in response to Debbie from edmondsby sberman,While you're looking at your inbox, click the "Edit" button in the upper right. Tap several of the emails you wish to delete then click "Trash" in the lower right. Repeat this process as needed.

Nov 6, 2013 12:56 PM in response to sbermanby whozjgalt,Your idea can work, but I have thousands in my spam folder that I'd like to just "mark all" and trash. But this doesn't seem to be an option. Any ideas

Nov 6, 2013 2:09 PM in response to whozjgaltby Jeranda,Go into the mail box and click on EDIT.
Then highlight and email, any one will do.
At the bottom of the page hold your finger on MOVE.
With your finger still on MOVE, unhighlight the email selected.
Take finger off MOVE, which will then be in grey.
To the right of MOVE is now DELETE ALL.
Tap that, say yes, and away they all go.

Feb 11, 2014 6:13 AM in response to Jerandaby Cliffedwards,Thanks Jerannda, but on my 5s when I take my finger off move it instantle takes me to a list of folders where I can select trash but it still only trashes 1 email. I'm guessing the grey out effect is only on iPhone 4??

Nov 30, 2014 5:20 PM in response to Riverman63by g_boothy,Hi Riverman63....I'm having the same problems. I have highlighted all the unwanted emails. Kept my finger on the bottom highlighted email and moved them to trash. The number of emails I'm moving to trash comes up when I put them in trash but when I go back into my inbox...they are still there!!!! I've also tried someone else's idea of highlighting them and going into edit and press delete....they are still there!!!! It's weird because I seem to go around in circles and then suddenly they're gone but I don't know what I've done. I have MacBook Air running on Yosemite. This happened before I installed Yosemite too. Did you ever resolve your problem?
Thanks
