I can't download my pre ordered item. It only says "Purchased" how can I download it on my iphone!!!!! The link on the email doesn't even work

Hey, I just recently pre-ordered One Direction's new album, Midnight Memories. they said today (Monday, 28th) I'll automatically get a song downloaded onto my phone. I checked on iTunes and it says that I've purchased it already but when I go to downloads it says that I don't have any purchased music available to download. then I enabled "automatic downloads", but there's still nothing going on. Can someone please help me on this? :"(

Im having the exact same problem as Nakheri. Same song same album. Im debating on canceling the pre order and downloading each song individually as it comes out but that seems like a pain in the butt for something that was supposed to be so simple.

I checked to make sure I have automatic download on for music and such. Its weird because I didnt have this problem for when I preordered books.

LittleA17 and Nakheri, I'm a huge 1D fan and when my song wouldn't download, I wanted to cry. It would tell me it wa purchased and say it was downloading but it just wasn't. So after fooling around with it, nothing seemed to work. I finally had the bright idea to sign out of my Apple ID and wait a minute then signed back in. Then went to my purchased music, clicked on "Not on this phone" and there the little cloud was to download Story of My Life. IT WORKED. I was so thrilled. So try that and let me know if it works please or if I just got lucky.

I preordered midnight memories the day that it was available and today Monday the 28th of October "Story of My LIfe was available". it says that i purchased the song and that my preorder is on the album but the song is not in my music! can someone please tell me what is happening and how i can get my song? I never received an email about my download being available, so i have no link. I have tried everything you guys have suggested above but its not working for me 😠. Everytime i go to the download section of my music it says that i have no active downloads. Can someone please please please help me....i'd really like my song! Thanks so much!

Your having the same problem as me tho...But it's just that I havent even receive and email but In iTunes it says that I purchased so yeah. I also tried all of the suggestion but none of them worked sadly :(

It didn't work for me, I preordered the ARTPOP album which is available already, I received the email, did what you said but when I tap NOT ON THIS IPHONE, there are no songs available.

I'm having the same problem as you, I'm trying to download ARTPOP and I followed the steps from my email and I've signed out and back on.. It still says purchased but doesn't show up in my purchased or in my downloads........

If you go to the main iTunes page where all the popular music is advertised, click on the word "Support" under Quick Links. That's where it told me I had an item ready to download.

None of this is working for me. Not on the computer, not on the phone. I've missed 3 songs now out of the Midnight Memories pre-order. Help, please!

Do you have a credit card registered on your account or do you have balance, my issue was that I added a 20 card and bought the album (14.99) and a game (4.99), it happened that after taxes it was 20.18, so I had to add anothe card to get more balance. After that I tried to download it from my iPhone but it did not work, so I went to my PC and logged out, then logged in again an a message appears saying that I had some pending downloads, then I synced my iPhone and that was all.
