Need Proof of Purchase...

Hi there,

I bought my ipad in summer 2012 and left it on a train late last month and I'm now in the process of making an insurnace claim. I paid in cash and dumped the receipt as the ipad went out of warranty so have no proof of purchase 😟

My question is - can Apply confirm to my insurer that I did purchase and own the said ipad.
