Badge counter error

In the last couple of weeks my badge count on apps hasnt been working correctly, especially on whatsapp and emails.

No matter how many new messages or emails i get the badge ALWAYS just says one. I still get regular push notifcations

and i have checked all my settings and they are fine.

Any ideas??
