Trash Can full won't delete files.

Trash can leavesa list of file list after requesting securely empty all files and hidden files.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

in general you don't need to secure empty the trash unless you have sensitive information on your computer. a regular empty is sufficient.


open finder preferences and in advanced section and uncheck next to secure empty trash


restart the mac and try holding the option key down while emptying the trash. if that doesn't work the following article helps address trash issues:
