Airport and Printer problems...

Hi, I set up a new airport extreme router earlier this week, I am having no issues w/my wireless signal, however my MAC has a message that I don't have the latest version of hardware to support this and my wireless printer will not work? Is there a download I am missing? I did download the free Airport app for Ipad and Iphone.
