Time machine says not enough space

I have 270GB on my hard drive and I have 500GB on a partitioned extra internal drive for it. It says not enough space. It says it needs 540GB for full back up.

Is it trying to include the other portion of the extra internal drive? I did a Super Duper to the other partition which comes out to 270GB also.

So 270 and 270 is 540

How can I tell it to just back up Mac Hard Drive?
