I bought a Harry Belafonte video on iTunes. I am trying to play it through my projector onto my big screen in my basement but every time I do, it says something like "video is not authorized for this monitor". I can play the video on my ipad no problem and I can get my ipad to play through the projector no problem but I can't get the video on my ipad to play through the projector. Why is that?
If it's an HD video, you can't play it through a VGA connection since VGA devices are not HDCP compliant. For more information on the issue in general, see:

If the projector supports HDMI input, get an Apple Digital AV adapter or other quality HDMI adapter and try that.

Addition to above: I bought the video in canada but I am trying to watch it in Ecuador, if that matters. It shouldn't because when I try to play the movie in Ecuador on my ipad, it plays fine. It is only when I try to play it thought the projector in Ecuador that it won't play.
How are you connected to the projector, HDMI, DVI or VGA? And is this an HD video?
VGA in to an apple dongle.
