Strange command.

I noticed these commands when I was in my Console.app:

10/17/13 8:54:57 PMcom.apple.launchd[1](com.jft.PdaNetMac[29168]) Exited with exit code: 1

I 10 /17/13 8:55:47 PMcom.apple.launchd[1](com.jft.PdaNetMac) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

10/17/13 8:56:27 PMcom.apple.launchd[1](com.jft.PdaNetMac[29180]) posix_spawn("/Applications/PdaNetMac.app/Contents/MacOS/PdaNetMac", ...): No such file or directory

10/17/13 8:56:37 PMcom.apple.launchd[1](com.jft.PdaNetMac) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

They kept going on and on. I deleted the PdaNet for Mac app about 2 weeks ago, so why are these commands still running in the background and how do I delete them? I am new to Mac after 30 years with Windows and feel like a newborn child who doesn't know what anything is, so help would be deeeply appreciated.

There is a rogue launchdaemon that was not removed. The uninstallation was either not performed correctly, or the developer of the software provided a very sloppy uninstallation package. How did you uninstall the software?

I dragged the program into the trash. I thought that was all that I needed to do. What do I need to do now and what should I not do in the future so I don't repeat this error? Help!!

Uninstall the program according to the developer's instructions. Download the program again if necessary. Run the uninstaller.

Identify the path of the launch daemon of the above is not viable or available. The steps below should be considered plan B:

The launch daemon (com.jft.Pdanetmac) most likely exists in your System's library:

From your finder menu,

Go > Go to folder > /System/LaunchDaemons/

Once you establish that the daemon is located here, run the following command in terminal. Enter your login password when prompted:

sudo launchctl unload /System/LaunchDaemons/com.jft.PdaNetMac.plist
