I am setting up my nieces ipad in INdonesia and need her to have a valid itune ID.
I need a valid credit card (she has none), or a gift card (can not find them in Jakarta).
How do I get a valid certificate or gcard that can be used in the Indonesian store.
(please only respond if you have first hand experience)
As far as I know gift cards aren't available in Indonesia, and as they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue) you won't be able to use cards from another country.
If she doesn't have a credit card then you could use the instructions on this page to create a new account (the instructions won'twork with existing accounts) without giving credit card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 - that should allow her to download free items
