Music bought on computer won't sync with iPhone

I just bought a couple of songs from iTunes on my Mac. I then pick up my iPhone, go into the purchases playlist and i can see the two songs with the iCloud symbol beside them. When i touch the iCloud symbol the wheel just spins for a bit then stops and the iCloud symbol reappears.. They just won't download to my phone. I only noticed this problem after upgrading to iOS7. A little frusturating because i shoulnd't have to hook my phone up to my computer every time i buy a song. Has anyone else had this problem and found a soulution? Any help would be appreciated.
