Q: Your Apple ID, was just used to download Excalibur: Knights of the King from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.

I keep receiving :

Your Apple ID, ********@*******.***, was just used to download xxxxxxxx from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.

You may also be receiving this email if you reset your password since your last purchase.

If you initiated this download, you can disregard this email. It was only sent to alert you in case you did not initiate the download yourself.

If you did not initiate this download, we recommend that you go to iforgot.apple.com to change your password, then see Apple ID: Tips for protecting the security of your account for further assistance.

Regards,

Apple

Apple has been no help, Mac Store has been no help.

Anybody have an answer/same problem?

It simply means that a device using or previously UNassociated that particular Apple ID had downloaded the app in question. If you recently added a new device and associated it to that Apple ID and downloaded the app, this is why you'll see this message. You'll also likely only see this email once.

This is not the first time & I get a password reset needed frequently.

I'm tired of having to re-set the password every X number of days because someone used my ID.

I also received this today and was surprised because did not download this app. I also checked my account, and recent purchases at the app store and nothing shows there since I did not download this app or any other, nor did anyone else apparently. I did initiate a password change using the link on the page but did not receive an expected message to confirm the change from Apple. My password still works as I used it to sign in to this forum and like others, I too am concerned that this might be a scam of some kind or a glitch at Apple.

I'm having a similar problem. I had previously (over a year ago) purchased 2 episodes of Law & Order. Then about 2 months ago, I purchased the 3rd season of Sons of Anarchy. When I downloaded these episodes to my iPad, about a dozen full seasons of various shows popped up, too. No money was removed from my iTunes account & theses particular shows aren't in my iTunes library on my desktop. I've tried every which way to delete them from my ipad, but can't. I went to the Apple store & they suggested I contact expresslane.apple.com for help. I submitted my problem, via email Friday, as they asked, but have not received any response. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these "phantoms?".

Yes, I did check my purchases and downloads and as I mentioned, it does not show up, in fact it says I have not ordered anything within the last 90 days and there are no new apps on my iphone. I did log in to my account and changed my password anyway. I would be most interested to see what the resolution is.

This is really weird - my son got emails about the same 2 apps, several days apart - excalibur knights and pocket fort. We changed his password after the first one, but it happened again. Changed his password again and so far nothing new, but I got an email today on my Apple ID about an app called Kik Messenger. So far they're all free apps - my son's ID doesn't even have a credit card associated with it. I thought it was some Chinese hacker, but why would they be getting the same apps from everyone? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Next step will be to shut down the current Apple IDs and get new ones, but then we wouldn't be able to re-download old purchaes.
