Keynote 09 Presenter Notes In Record Mode? | Pausing Record?

I'm needing to record my presentation, 101 slides with my voice over on each slide, varying amounts of time per slide. The goal is to record it, save it, and share it with others.

The presenter notes need to be visible to me when I'm doing this recording. Is this possible within the app? By default, File> Record Slideshow brings a full screen presentation window, and my notes disappear. Rehearse slide show offers no recording capability.

I'm starting to fear that I'll have to have my iPad handy to keep separate notes in some form and coordinate the two to accomplish this.

It would be awesome if Keynote allowed me to stay in the app, see my presenter notes, and record my slide show.

A second perceived problem: once I start this longggg slide show, I'm not finding a way to pause and resume. Is that possible?

p.s. I'm not attached to only using Keynote if there's another app that achieves this goal for me. Looked at iMovie and it seemed even less possible…

Thanks for any help you can offer.

You can use the traditional way by printing your notes out on paper:

to print a thumbnail and the notes on each on a single page: File > Print > Notes

or copy and paste the text from the notes pane into a text application and print on a single sheet

To pause the recording, click the red recording indicator, or press F key to Freeze

Press any key to resume recording

When you’ve finished recording, press the Escape key to stop slideshow playback and save the recording

I had the same problem today and wanted to add my work around to this thread. In order for me to be able to read the slides while recording, I just added the text directly onto the slides. Then I recorded the slideshow and could see/read the text as I was recording, then once I was finished, I just deleted the text boxes off of the slides. It gives you a warning saying that the recording is not synced when you change the slides after the recording, but it doesnt hurt or change anything and you are able to save and export the recorded slideshow.
