Q: How do I sync the tap tempo from my Akai MPK88 with MS3?

In Mainstage settings, there is a check box for "Get Tempo from MIDI Input." I have this option checked and Mainstage recognizes that I am using an MPK88, but it is not getting the tap tempo updates that my controlled is sending. Is there something that I am missing?

MainStage, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

    The two devices must be shaking hands, using MIDI Clock.

    Go to your Audio Midi Preferences, and make sure the MPK is set up to send clock.

    Then, make sure whatever "track" you have in MS for the MPK is set up to RECIEVE Midi Beat clock.
