How do you designate a contact as a company on iOS7 or iCloud? The only way I can find is by deleting the first and last names and saving with the company name only. Then you can go back and add the first and last names of a person.
In Contacts on the Mac, you can check the box "Company" but this is not available on the iphone or iCoud. Anyone have a solution?

No, unfortunately there is no other option as your described workaround or doing it via the Mac.
No need to enter name and delete it like the first suggestion.
You simply add the Company name ONLY - and save it. Then add the name after.
Doesn't work for me. The minute you add the first/last names in ios 7 it changes it and when you go into OSX the company checkbox is now unticked.
bazodee, you're right. I did my testing with icloud. In icloud, that trick works. but I couldn't get the original poster's trick, nor mine, to work at all in iOS just now. it always looks like a person, not a company when created in ios. but you can fix it in both icloud or osx
