hi,

i have a microsoft lifecam vx-1000. is it possible to use in my mac mini?

Macs are about as "plug and play" as any computer can get when it comes to USB devices.

There's ONE exception to that... Webcams.

Macs are very particular when it comes to webcam compatibility, even the Intels.

Add to that Microsoft builds cams that are made to work with whatever Windows version is current at the time the cam was manufactured.
My brother had a Microsoft cam that worked with XP, and Windows 7 doesn't even see it. He's not going back to Xp, so he tossed it with the old PC.
