My keychain 'login' cannot be found to store .... I've pushed the reset button many times without success

I've got a problem with my keychain that cannot be found to store entries. I can now also not sign into iCloud to get to my photstream, contacts, etc. although I can log in to it from my web browser.

Thanks in advance

Go to Applications > Keychain Access and search for iCloud in the search box in the upper right, and delete all the entry or entries related to iCloud.

Then go to the Keychain Access menu > Keychain first aid, enter your account password, pick repair, and start.

I don't know if a restart is needed at this point but it wouldn't hurt.

Then go to System Prefs > iCloud and see if you can sign into iCloud.

P.S. If that doesn't work I would delete the system preferences .plist file:

To fix:

1. Hold down the option key.

2. In the Go menu in the Finder, scroll down to Library

3. In Library, find Preferences

4. In Preferences, find com.apple.systempreferences.plist and drag it to the trash

5. restart

6. you will have to reenter your preferences.

If this problem is occurring in a Managed User account or in a Standard user account (See System Preferences>Users and Groups>, try having someone with Administrative rights on the Mac give the account with Keychain issues Administrative rights and restarting and logging in to the account with the Keychain Problems. If it works, you can return the account to the previous user account settings.
