I can't restore my Apps to my iphone 5

Hi,

I have an iphone 4s which i have done a full back up in itunes.

when i plug in my new iphone 5 and restore from backup, it restores everything except all my apps

in the past, if i just left the phone connected to itunes the apps would eventually come over

but right now none of my apps are going over.

Can someone please let me know how to get my Apps to sync across.

i don't want to manually download as i have a lot of data in a variety of my apps which i want to keep.

any help or suggestions appreciated.

Have you gone through the Apps on your iTunes with the iPhone 5 connected and ensured that they were checked for Sync? Do you have any Restrictions set in your iPhone 5?

thanks for your reply.

i''m not sure how to do either of things you mentioned?

when i go to the apps tab i dont' see any places to check apps for syncing? only to install or remove.

and where do i go to check for restrictions set on iphone 5?

Open Itunes, plug in your phone.You will see yoour phone listed in the left margin. Open iphone/ipadtouch on the top list. Drag a app icon to your phone listed on the left and the they will sync to your phone. This worked for me.
