Gee ... could you get less personal and more technical in your performance on this technical forum.
Tell us how to set the OSX server on a personal computer so it correctly syncs calendar and contacts locally for example ... then your contributions here will have some merit.
That has been posted in this thread, look for Barney's posts, no need to keep repeating the same instructions.

You're making less sense with every post. I suggest you stop. You've already equated iCloud with "slavery". The next logical step is for you to invoke the Nazis.... at which point you move from being a troll to a laughing stock.
We've already had the holocaust comparison, I just finished laughing about that.

Dec 17, 2013 12:33 PM in response to WINARPIby petermac87,Are the competition not using cloud services to sync? I thought Google were.
Anyhow.........advice,
Reistall your backup of your previous system you made before you chose to install Mavericks. Easy.
OS X Mavericks: Revert to a previous OS X version
OR
set up you own server. Easy

OR
Tell Apple how you feel and then wait and hope (Please avoid holding breath)

would like to go back to problem not to be tied to "sophisticated" philosophic discussions

You can 'go back with the soft' at any point you like.
Just restore your backup.

Dec 17, 2013 12:47 PM in response to petermac87by WINARPI,Thank Pete
seems some of the people trying to be personal which does not make sense to me /do not mean you/
Im not a IT specialist just a simple user which got the problem and spent already some cash CalDAV and the other /with no succes/ to revert back or success to sync.
Spoken with a IT specialist and he said the way to go back by REVERT TO previous OSX version would be very risky and time consuming even to him as my Mac contains c/a 500GB of data which have to be first copied somewhere piece by piece not as a bulk as being on many places in my MAc and we miss soem of them they will be lost forever. Thats where my concern is.
Apple can easily solve all this but do not undestand why would not or cannot ?
Best

Then you are in completely the wrong place. No one here can say "why" Apple did anything. No one here represents Apple. Discussing Apple policy decisions is prohibited by the TOS.
