May 16, 2014 2:35 PM in response to SUby peter_watt,I can guess what the word was. It is against the terms of your licence with Apple to "modify" iOS. Hence a forum paid for my Apple understandably does not tolerate it. There are probably forums that will.

May 16, 2014 2:45 PM in response to Csound1by gumsie,I'm not discussing it. You are.
If I'm right it's to do with what you do and don't see after updating. There are reports regarding stock installs on a number of forums. Not just this one.

May 17, 2014 2:52 AM in response to TopSteveby petermac87,The thread is over TopSteve. If you have issues with 10.9.3 the. Please start a new thread. You are off topic here, as the OP's question has been answered.
Cheers
Pete

May 17, 2014 3:13 AM in response to TopSteveby peter_watt,Topsteve, the first solution was posted on page 3 and many other alternatives since.
Gerrit7 had chosen not to credit any of the answers because that was never the point of the thread, it was a thread against iCloud, pure and simple. If (s)he wants to mark any post as the solution that is the OPs perogative. Your thumbs can go elsewhere.
The return of local sync is not a solution or a victory, it simply obviates the need for a workaround but that seems not to satisfy Gerrit7.

May 17, 2014 10:03 AM in response to Gerrit7by Donot Haveone,This thread is not quite dead yet!
Not sure how 'back' USB sync is: I stupidly updated to 10.9.3 today, trusting everything I'd read, connected my phone, and.....no info tab. No way I can see to choose to sync Contacts and Calendars--no way I can see to choose not to sync them, for that matter. I hope it means it is an automatic sync (not always good, but better than nothing), create a test change to a contact, sync, and no change to contacts on the iOS device.
I have seen references to turning OFF iCloud syncing in iCloud settings to restore USB sync, but I have never used iCloud. Can I restore syncing or do I have to go back to 10.8.5 again? That was not a joyous process.
