Nov 6, 2013 10:20 PM in response to Gerrit7by handsOFFmydata,New version of iTunes 11.1.3 for Mac OSX.
No mention of losing INFO button if you are still running OSX 10.8.x ... but the "omissions" like this happened before.
Is there anyone who has tested it under OSX 10.8.x and can confirm that the INFO is still there?

Try the 10.8 forums.

Nov 6, 2013 11:43 PM in response to handsOFFmydataby markhud,I would add that I have yet to update to iTunes 11.1.3, if anyone can confirm that the INFO tab is still available in this update when applied to OS X 10.8, it would be helpful.

Because I am using iTunes 11.1.2, the version available at the launch of Mavericks.... Now 11.1.3 has been made available and I want to ensure that by updating to that version I do NOT lose the info tab in M.Lion.
Is that so hard to understand??

Nov 7, 2013 12:12 AM in response to markhudby petermac87,Yes. You answered a question you don't know the answer to. 11.1.3 <<<<<<<<<<<<<< You did not have it installed. Please learn to read the post you are replying to or refrain from giving misinformation.
Is that so hard to understand?

Sarcasm: the lowest form of wit.
Find your own solution if what volunteers here provide are too "worthless" for you. We're not your personal slaves. Instead of whinging do something yourself.
Sorry snozdop, you have entered a few sarcastic remarks in this thread already, I didn't feel held back by that. But to put it straight: I am merely pointing out that Apple's solution, that you showed us so kindly, with a sarcastic remark that it had been already there for a decade, is not a real solution. If you want to take that personally, fine with me. I only have a problem with Apple engineers who forget who they are working for (the customers). But perhaps you are one of those Apple employees. than I understand your entries much better, but I would urge you not to tell everybody off for complaining about this latest flaw of Apple, but take it to your superiours and make them aware that local syncing is really wanted. No hard feelings.

Nov 7, 2013 1:29 AM in response to DiederikStaayby snozdop,Like everyone else here, I'm just an Apple user trying to help out my fellow Apple users in my free time. I don't work for Apple, or even have any financial interest in their success or otherwise.
The question asked was how to backup data stored on iCloud. I provided the answer to that. Whether you consider what I posted to be a 'real solution' (whatever you define a 'real' solution to be) or 'worthless' is irrelevant - I gave the only currently possible answer. The least you could do is show some common courtesy towards other users here who give up their free time to help lazy people like yourself who can't be bothered to find the answers to simple questions themselves.
If you don't like the answers given here then go elsewhere. This isn't a complaints forum. None of us here are Apple engineers who can change the way iCloud works or add a backup feature worthy of your approval. If you want to whinge at Apple and suggest changes, do so at the appropriate place: http://www.apple.com/feedback
I'm not going to stop posting factual answers to technical queries or giving factual technical reasons for why things work in the way they do, just because people like you think its useless or worthless. If you've got better, more useful answers, nobody is stopping you from sharing them.

by a few. But not by the many many millions who have downloaded mavericks to date. Otherwise tese forums would be flooded with threads on it. We have one.

And that is the problem with Apple: They do not care about their customer's needs. They believe that the customer has to adopt to whatever Apple thinks is right for them. That's why Apple doesn't speak of "customers" but of "consumers", whose only obligation is to pay and obey.
I will stop using Apple products for exactly that reason. My next laptop will be a Panasonic Let's Note which is of higher build quality and therefore comes with a free 4 year warranty. I have used them alot in the past and I can't complain about it. Only downside here: It comes with Windows 8.1 preinstalled so I would suggest to downgrade to Win 7 or install Linux (or both).

Nov 7, 2013 2:21 AM in response to 伊藤Rby petermac87,Yes Microsoft are much more of a user friendly company! lol So goodbye then and goodly me with Windows. You forget that Apple ARE catering to their customers, mainly the newer omer who will have longevity in a market that is moving to quickly for some older users.
It's called business.

Nov 7, 2013 2:29 AM in response to 伊藤Rby snozdop,So, you're going to stop using Apple products because their latest OS does not suit you, and switch to a Windows PC, where you're instantly going to downgrade from the latest OS because it also doesn't suit you?
So basically no difference to sticking with a Mac... except the money it costs you to switch. Ok.
I don't recall Microsoft doing what customers wanted with the release of Windows 8, which has been a universal failure and few people even want it - yourself included.
