Q: How to locally sync an iPhone with OS X Mavericks? iCloud is NOT an option.

we can also use paper to note our contacts and agenda... and also return to primary ages to make fire and not use lighter

but if we have an Iphone and a Mac and if we were using a local synchronization for years with USB or wifi

we are NOW forced by Apple to use Icloud to syncrhronize them

and many of us don't agree with this changement

Now that you can't sync with a cable you will need an alternative, or you can go without sync. At this time there are no options that do not involve an online service.

Not exactly. Apple has granted Windows the only non-cloud iPhone-to-host syncing service.

Apple deprecated USB local sync in iTunes on the Macintosh but not in Windows.

Apple reduced all Mac user's iPhone non-cloud syncing options in OSX10.9 but fully supports all Windows users.

I don't understand why you linked to the thread we're both in, to a page on which I have no posts. And no, I am not particularly concerned with how you perceive me.

In the future, people who privately complain about the cavity searches required before entering any building, or about the see-through clothing mandatory on airplanes and public transportation, will have a name: privacy freaks.

I think Csound1 wants to point out that you can sync using CardDAV and CalDAV services installed on your local computer instead of using iCloud.

However I go for a simple solution, that's why I returned back to Mountain Lion and sync now again via cable.
