Q: iOS 6 and 7 Find my iPhone problem
I seem to have found a problem that exists with iCloud. This affects iOS 6 and seven. It seems that when a phone is in it's locked position, it doesn't seem to be able to find the device. It just kind of drops off the radar. Since this problem is rearing its ugly head over to different iOS versions, the problem must be in the code at the server. What good is Find my iPhone/device if you can disable it by simply locking the device ? If anybody can expound on this problem I would certainly appreciate any input that is given. This may be just a power saving algorithm written into the server software so it doesn't ping so much and save some battery so you can actually find a device, but if you have to wait sometimes up to an hour or two for the server to ping the device so you can find it what use is it ? Your device could be long gone at that point.
