hi i have recently purchased a new MacBook Air from Curry's and i am concerned this is is not the latest model i.e. june 2013> how can i tell please?

Then take it back and buy one from an Apple Store.
Open System Profiler and look at the Model ID. It should read MBA 6,2.
The identifiers are:

EASY,....look on LEFT SIDE.......if there are 2 tiny mic holes about 1" apart its the NEW Air
if its a single cluster of holes, its the OLD Air
