Jan 7, 2014 7:29 AM in response to SteelyPby wendy_is,I have both iPad 2 and iPhone 5S running iOS 7.0.4
iPad 2 has never had a problem with re-setting, in which the screen goes black, the Apple logo appears, and then the device re-boots.
With iPhone 5s it seems to be linked to the Touch ID. That is the only thing that has periodically triggered a re-set on my iPhone. It does not do it all the time, or every day ~ just occaisionally. If I stop using the Touch ID and enter the Passcode instead there is no problem.
Whaever the cause, Apple needs to fix this!!

Mac OS XWell, whatever is happening seems to be killing my phone (5S). I was opening an app folder from the home screen and it blue screened and rebooted. Then when it got to the lock screen it would reboot again. It went on like this for maybe 8 reboots total, with 2 complete lockups in there where I had to hold down the home and lock buttons to get it to reboot. It seems to have stopped spontaneously rebooting and I've got it plugged into my PC now and am doing a backup. I think I might do a restore and see if it behaves better.

Jan 8, 2014 12:46 PM in response to ireallyhatepickinganameby georam1,I have now had my touch Id off for a whole month. Not one restart. Apple really needs to get off their butts and get this fixed

Jan 8, 2014 4:53 PM in response to Randy Rannalsby rsbetc,My iPhone 5S running iOS 7.0.4 also started restarting itself 3-4 times a day.
Did a restore from iCloud. Issue didn't get fixed.
Set it up as a new phone. That didn't fix the issue either.
Then Apple replaced the phone for me. Same restarting issue on the new device too.
I use my phone way too much - this wasted time on restarting is very frustrating. Even restarted as soon as I dialed a number. Going to call Apple and try to report this to higher level support.

Jan 9, 2014 1:48 AM in response to rsbetcby Regina.Amorim,Hello. I would like to share my Iphone 5s experience. My Iphone was presenting reboot issues since the beggining. I have tried too many ways to get this solved... tried to restore as new, tried to set off the paralax effect, tried to restore in DFU, tried to set off the digital sensor, tried to talk to Apple support...nothing resolves the problem. In a three days ago I tried something different...I tried to restore with the 7.1 beta 2 as new.... I got the message that my Iphone is not registered as developer... So I restored one more time with the 7.04, getting my backup back.... It works until now... My Iphone finally is not restarting anymore.

Jan 9, 2014 3:10 PM in response to Randy Rannalsby Max_UK,Hi,
Been having the same problem soon after picking up my 5s late Sept 2013. Been following this thread for a while and spoke to my local Apple Store who suggested a reset and restore or reset and re-install but didn't fancy losing texts etc, and data loss didn't seem acceptable to me.
Tried a few things over Christmas and for me, using TouchID to unlock phone, turning off General-Accessibility-Reduce Motion (show parallax on lock screen and icon 'zooming') has seemed to fix it. Did this a week ago and had no restarts on unlocking at all. Switched back on this morning and had 6 restarts in less than 9 hours, so have switched back off.
Noticed similar effects to others, unlock and momentary flash of home screen or maybe less than a second and then restart. The icon zooming would normally take this time - is it connected I wonder?
Personally don't like the parallax and 'zooming' icons, but can live with this as restarts were a real pain and created doubt in my mind that Apple had lost the plot with their flagship phone.
Maybe worth a try, worked for me so far (fingers crossed).
Max.

Jan 11, 2014 12:41 AM in response to Randy Rannalsby jonashotep,Greetings everyone.
Just an update. It is 01/10/14 in Phoenix Arizona MST. At about 1:00 am the reboot just happened to me for the first time. I do have the 5s model that I bought in the beginning of november of 2013. I ONLY use the simple four digit passcode lock. I have NEVER used the fingerprint touch I.D. So the touch id info is unfortunately not conclusive for me. However I did download within a 24 period four high resolution/high memory apps from iTunes. I recently took all of them off of my phone *fingers crossed*. I do not own a pc so I use my best friends pc for restore. I do not hope it comes to this. Thank you.

Jan 15, 2014 11:58 AM in response to jonashotepby CrescentLigh,I have the same issue where the iPhone 5s restarts at least 3-4 times a week with iOS 7.0.4. I don't this has anything to do with the TouchID as I have seen this issue much less frequently with iPad Air as well. The only common denominator would be 64-bit processor architecture introduced by Apple which is not mature enough yet.
I'm going to return the iPhone and see if the replacement has the issue fixed.

Jan 15, 2014 12:15 PM in response to CrescentLighby woody46,I got my 5S replaced for this "fault" and the new one did the same straight away.

Jan 15, 2014 1:35 PM in response to woody46by CrescentLigh,Very sad where Apple quality has fallen, even Microsoft would address BSOD issues through a patch. From what I can tell this issue has existed on the 64-bit architecture since the launch of the Apple 5s device.

Jan 15, 2014 1:48 PM in response to CrescentLighby haipower,Been having the apple logo restart/ crash problem since launch of iPhone 5s but for the first time yesterday it happened during a phone call and surprisingly the call stay connected during and after the whole apple logo appearing/crashing process and I was able to continue the phone call. Which means the phone definitely did not do a full restart.

Jan 15, 2014 2:14 PM in response to haipowerby meatyard1970,I don't think its any of the above. I had 2 5S phones replaced and the problem continues. I also have this issue on my iPad 3, which is not 64 bit and doesn't have touch ID. I'm guessing its some kind of data corruption, and if I wasn't too lazy to restore and wipe the phone as new, all my problems would be solved. Everyone I know who set the phone up as new has not seen this issue. Its only when upgrading and restoring a system.

Jan 15, 2014 2:22 PM in response to meatyard1970by Tomfoolery20,I had this problem. Restored the phone from new several times. Given a new 5s from Apple and problem persists. Turned off touch ID and this did not solve the problem. Very frustrating to say the least.
