Can't install Windows 7: error 0x80300024

Hello everyone.

Today I've been trying hard to install Windows 7 using bootcamp.

Here is my setup:

Mac Book Pro mid-2010 13" with OptiBay:

- 256GB OCZ SSD (Main drive)

- 500GB Hard drive (original drive that came with the mac)

- USB DVD drive (orignal one that came with the mac that got replaced by a drive with OptiBay).

So I've started Boot Camp assitant, went through the setup process and created a second partition of 50GB on my main drive (the SSD). After that, I rebooted my computer and booted in the Windows installer. Everything was fine, until Windows setup said "Windows cannot be installed on this drive. Error 0x80300024".

I have done a bit of research on the internet, and people claim that the solution is to disconnect all your other drives because Windows gets confused. Fair enough, except, how on earth am I supposed to do that? The drives are inside my laptop; I'm not going to unscrew the drives out of my computer, that's silly.

Do you guys have any idea on what I should do now?

Thanks!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Did you ever get an answer to your problem?

I have virtually the same issue. Im using VirtualBox and running, XPBlack, Win7 and Linux Xubuntuwith the potential to install any other OS I choose.

I tried Parallels and VMware Fusion before hand as well but VirtualBox is free.

Really would like to Dual boot with 7 though.
