Question

Home sharing

I have home sharing turned on both of my computers. When I close iTunes on one computer the home sharing disappears on the other one. How can I fix this so I can just use my new computer?

It sounds like you are getting some unexpected activity from the Home Sharing option. I would recommend the steps outlined in this article named:

Here is an overview of the troubleshooting to be done.

1. Set up Home Sharing on all devices

2. Verify system requirements

3. Check your Apple ID

4. Check your network connection

5. Check Firewall Settings

6. Quit and reopen apps and iTunes

7. Restart your network router
