Since upgrading to windows 8.1, Outlook cannot load my calanders or contacts from icloud. Has anyone something to try for that? Thanks

I too had the same problem after the Windows 8.1 "update." I uninstalled the iCloud plugin, rebooted, reinstalled the plugin and all was then fine. Unfortunately, after a reboot and relaunch of Outlook, the plugin refused to load and I was back to square one. I sure wish I wasn't forced to use Windows for my business. :-/

This fixed the issue:

1. sign out of iCloud. (make sure you are really signed out or it won't work!)

2. open Outlook and make sure iCloud is not listed in Account Settings

3. close Outlook

4. sign in to iCloud and let it set up Outlook sync

You shouldn't need to reinstall anything. Just remember after the above, when you first look at your calendar/contacts in Outlook it will default to show your Outlook calendar and contacts (saved locally). You may need to select iCloud to see them.

This worked for me, and was really simple:

1. In Outlook, there is a tab at the top for iCloud. (File, Home, Send/Receive, Folder, View, iCloud)

2. Click on the iCloud tab.

3. Click on Refresh.

I have had success with doing the following:

Close OUTLOOK 2010
Sign OUT of iCloud Admin Panel

Sign back in

iCloud Admin Panel will commence re-installing and re-syncing with Outlook

That's All.

same problem but net day work correct, i did use apps for contacts and calanders and they worked yesterday

Thanks Arti273 - this worked well for me. I could no longer open my iCloud contacts. Initially I couldn't open my iCloud photo steam folder either but I signed in to iCloud Control Panel and unchecked and rechecked the box next to photos a couple of times and it worked but it didn't work for mail, contacts, calendars and tasks. I tried your fix and it worked straight away so thanks a million.

Interesting development. Every couple of days I get an error message from Outlook that it can find the folders. When I launch iCloud control panel, it says Outlook is not setup to use iCloud. I click the setup link in the control panel app, it sets up Outlook to use iCloud, and all is well for a day or two. Then I have to lather, rinse and repeat.

I used Arti273 instructions and between step 3 and 4 I upgraded iCloud 3.0 to 3.1. This required a restart of the PC. After configuring iCloud everything was fine.

I really hate windows screwing perfectly good working stuff up😠
