My iphone 4s has not been alerting me to new texts or calls since iOS7 upgrade. Settings look ok and other sounds work. Help?

check your hardware mute button on the side, if it's ok check your do not disturb settings(see if there is a moon icon displayed beside your battery icon) if so, go to settings>Do not disturb and turn it off.
